Terms & Conditions

1. General Overview

These Terms and Conditions govern the agreement between Ao Mwakaleli and our clients, outlining the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of both parties. By booking with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms. These conditions apply to all bookings, including safaris, tours, accommodations, and additional services offered by Ao Mwakaleli.

2. Booking and Payment

To confirm a reservation, a deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the tour start date. Bookings made within 30 days of the tour start date require full payment upon confirmation. Failure to make timely payments may result in cancellation of your reservation.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. Refunds are provided based on the date of cancellation relative to the tour start date:

  • 60 or more days before the start date: 80% refund

  • 30–59 days before the start date: 50% refund

  • Less than 30 days before the start date: No refund

Please note that certain charges, such as non-refundable deposits or third-party service fees, may not be refundable.

4. Changes to Itineraries

While we aim to operate tours as planned, changes may occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, park regulations, or safety concerns. Any itinerary adjustments will be made in the client’s best interest. Additional costs resulting from such changes will be the client’s responsibility.

5. Liability and Insurance

Although we prioritize client safety, Ao Mwakaleli cannot be held liable for injuries, losses, delays, or unforeseen expenses resulting from natural disasters, political events, or third-party service failures. We strongly advise all clients to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and personal belongings.

6. Travel Documents and Health Requirements

Clients are responsible for ensuring they possess valid passports, visas, and any required vaccinations or health certificates. While Ao Mwakaleli can offer general guidance, we are not liable for any issues resulting from incomplete or incorrect documentation.

7. Code of Conduct and Behavior

We expect all guests to respect local customs, wildlife, and fellow travelers. Disruptive or harmful behavior may result in removal from the tour without refund. Clients will be held responsible for any damages caused to property, vehicles, or accommodations.

8. Special Requests and Requirements

Clients with special dietary needs, medical conditions, or other unique requirements must inform us at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate these requests, but we cannot guarantee fulfillment and appreciate your understanding.

9. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Any disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions will first be addressed amicably through negotiation. If necessary, disputes will be resolved through arbitration in Tanzania. This agreement is governed by the laws of Tanzania, and all legal proceedings must take place within its jurisdiction.

By proceeding with your booking, you confirm your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
